You may have dragged my name through every rumor, through every whisper...

You tried your best to break me down, and tarnish a family that only ever helped but, I called your name out in prayer.

I prayed for your peace, for your joy. For God's love to touch the places inside you that hurt so much, you felt the need to hurt others.

Forgiven...

We forgive because we've been forgiven.

We as believers are commanded to be compassionate, kind, tenderhearted, and forgiving, just as God in Christ forgave us.

It’s not forgetting.

It’s not pretending nothing happened.

It’s trusting God with it all.

It’s releasing the offense, the wrong doing so it doesn’t rot your heart from the inside out.

It’s laying down the burden so you can rise up in freedom.
