Eternal Chase

Shadows creeping, heartbeat speeding,

Darkness whispering my doom

Fleeing shadows, no escaping,

In this endless gloom

Footsteps pounding in the night,

Eyes that gleam with icy light

Running fast through hollow halls,

Clutching dreams that slowly fall

Heart pounding, breath it’s shallow,

Facing fears I cannot handle

Every shadow, every face,

Brings me closer to my fate

Run, run, in the midnight’s grip,

Trying to escape this shadow’s slip

But the reaper’s cold, relentless hand,

Pulls me down to the sinking sand

Your time is here, no point to fight,

Just another lost soul tonight

In this torment, I will drown,

Forever bound in shadows’ crown

Chill of the scythe, a whisper’s call,

Echoes in my mind’s dark hall

Faces fade, but fear remains,

In this world of endless pains

Every step I take’s in vain,
