The neon light flickers in the corner of my eye,

Another round of whiskey, hoping for a high,

The jukebox plays a tune of a love gone lost,

I'm drowning sorrow, but at what cost?

The bartender knows my name, shakes his head,

He pours me another, fills my heart with lead,

A photograph crumpled next to my glass,
