Thirst

I open my eyes with the setting of the sun

I live my life in the night after the day is done

Hiding in the shadows while hunting my prey

When this thirst calls my name I must obey

She walks all alone not knowing what will come

I step out and I grab her before she can run

Looking deep into her eyes her movements are few

She willingly gives up her neck as they always do

I was forced into this life

by another’s hellish curse

Forever I am haunted

by this eternal thirst

Praying upon others

So I will get to live

Passing down my thirst

Is the curse that I give

It’s the curse that I give

Her breathing is heavy and grows faster as I begin

To pull her against me and sink my teeth into her skin

She finds herself trapped between pleasure and pain

Her heart slowly stops as her blood continues to drain

I’ve brought another innocent into my dark life

She will follow me forever out into the night

Hunting from the shadows ready to do her worst

So she can somehow try to quench this undying thirst

I was forced into this life

by another’s hellish curse

I’ve lived a thousand lives

As I’ve walked upon this earth

Taken so much from others

As I live with this curse

My choice was made for me

By another that had lost his

This cycle will continue

Because of the thirst that lives
