Prompt / Lyrics
I’ve walked these roads with a restless soul, Chasin’ answers I couldn’t hold, Every question led me somewhere new, Till grace showed up and it all rang true. Now I see with a different light, But how do I say what changed my life? I stumble, I search, I pray it comes out right, ‘Cause what I’ve found is worth the fight… I’m trying to find the words to say, How Jesus is the truth, the life, the way, How every broken piece in me Found hope in what I couldn’t see. The Bible ain’t just pages and ink, It’s living water when your soul’s on the brink, It’s the answer to the questions we hide— I just wish I had the words inside. I’ve seen the hurt behind their eyes, Heard the doubt in their quiet sighs, I know that place, I’ve stood there too, Lost and searching for something true. If they could feel what I feel now, They’d understand, they’d see somehow… But my voice shakes when I try to explain, How mercy can wash away the pain… I’m trying to find the words to say, How Jesus is the truth, the life, the way, How every broken piece in me Found hope in what I couldn’t see. The Bible ain’t just pages and ink, It’s living water when your soul’s on the brink, It’s the answer to the questions we hide— I just wish I had the words inside. Maybe it’s not in what I say, But how I live from day to day, Let love speak loud where words fall short, Let grace be what I stand for. ‘Cause a life redeemed, a heart set free Might say more than words from me… So I’ll keep talking, I’ll keep trying, Through every doubt and every crying, Trusting He’ll speak when I fall apart— Put His truth in someone’s heart… I’m learning there’s a better way, To show that He’s the truth, the life, the way, When every step and every choice Becomes a reflection of His voice. The Bible’s more than words I read, It’s everything my soul will ever need, And if I never say it perfectly— I’ll let His love speak through me. Yeah, I may never find the perfect line… But I found the truth… and that’s enough this time.
