Growing up fast

I was born in to

A working family

Running the business

Together to get our money

Long hours together

Mum and dad did do

Working hard together

How they both knew

Dad fixing cars

And everything in sight

Mum doing the paper work

Till late at night

Days were long

And times weren’t easy

But nothing in this life is a freebie

From just a young age

I’d be helping in the yard

If I wasn’t at the shop

Helping sort the tools

I’d be busy at home
