Long Road Home

Rolling through the night, engine humming low

Fading city lights, where do I go?

Big rig on the highway, miles and miles of grey

See them faces, hear their voices, words I can't understand today

Greasy truck stop dinners, taste of yesterday

Fuel and tired eyes, chasing dawn's first ray

Searching for a reason, in this endless road

Looking for a way out, or a story to unload

Driving big rigs, chasing shadows in the night

Lost in this journey, no end in sight

Can’t find the exit, this road's gotten old

Trucking’s a story, tired and cold

Oh, I need a break, I need to breathe

Somewhere to rest, some peace to believe

But the highway calls, and I can't leave

This life I chose, this life I weave

Maybe someday I’ll find my way

Beyond these roads where the trucks stay

Until then, I’ll keep rolling on
