Intro
Yeah…
Everybody blame leadership…
Till it’s time to actually lead something.
Crazy how that work.
⸻
Verse 1
Every post start the same, “Leadership don’t care…”
Meanwhile you a Staff Sergeant sitting right there.
Got stripes on your chest, got Soldiers assigned,
But somehow every problem always somebody else’s crime.
Station doing bad? “Man the command toxic.”
Numbers look rough? “Brigade probably caused it.”
Future Soldier quit? “Ops put on too much heat.”
Brother, when’s the last time you called your DEP this week?
Y’all scream “leaders failed me” every chance you get,
Like NCO don’t literally stand for leadership.
Want all the authority, none of the blame,
Then act surprised when nothing change.
⸻
Hook
Everybody blame leadership, leadership this, leadership that…
But ain’t nobody asking where the NCOs at.
Got rank, got pay, got troops, got time…
But run to Recruiter Times when it’s time to lead from the front line.
Everybody want a mentor till correction show up,
Everybody want standards till pressure go up.
Crazy how accountability suddenly “cross the line”…
Every single time on Recruiter Times.
⸻
Verse 2
You can’t blame a first sergeant for every late packet,
Can’t blame the CSM cause your work ethic lacking.
Can’t blame “the system” every time you fall short,
At some point leadership starts at your own door.
See real NCOs solve problems, train troops, build trust,
Not cry online every time life get tough.
You say “Nobody listens,” but your Soldiers say the same,
Cause you vent more than you coach and that’s insane.
The Creed say lead. It don’t say post anonymous.
Don’t say screenshot meetings when the pressure start bothering us.
Don’t say blame the command for everything in sight…
While you hiding in comments every night.
⸻
Hook
Everybody blame leadership, day after day,
Like rank magically stop at the O-grade pay.
But the Army gave stripes for a reason, my guy…
Not just so you could complain online.
Everybody got excuses loaded and primed,
But leadership ain’t something you clock out and decline.
If your team struggling maybe look inside…
Before you write another post on Recruiter Times.
⸻
Bridge
Truth hurt sometimes.
Cause the same people screaming “leaders don’t lead”…
Be the exact same NCOs avoiding responsibility.
No mentorship.
No counseling.
No training plan.
No ownership.
Just vibes… complaints… and Facebook essays.
⸻
Final Verse
So next time you type “leadership failed the force…”
Ask yourself what direction you set on your course.
Did you teach? Did you guide? Did you build your team right?
Or just throw rocks online every night?
Cause officers command, sure… everybody know that part.
But NCOs?
We supposed to lead from the heart.
And if every problem in your life somehow traced
To everybody above you in every single place…
Then maybe the issue ain’t brigade…
Maybe the issue staring back at you from the screen every day.

Stop posting.
Start leading.
