🎵 “Belize and Back-to-School Blues” 🎵
[Verse]
It’s that time again, grab the backpack,
Senior year, I can’t turn back.
Parents packed up, said “Adios!”
Now they’re sipping drinks on a tropical coast.
Meanwhile my phone’s in techno jail,
Freedom tastes sweet but my stomach’s frail.
Grandparents stare, I stare too—
What are we doing? I have no clue.
[Chorus]
🎶 My parents went to Belize,
Left me here with no keys,
Just a zoo of cats and dogs
And a fridge with moldy cheese.
I’m hungry—oh please—
Feed me, feed me, feed me, please! 🎶
[Verse]
I wake up to barking, purring sounds,
Food bowls empty, nothing found.
Cats are plotting, dogs demand,
This furry mob’s getting out of hand.
“Eat, eat, eat,” is all I say,
While my folks are sipping piña colada all day.
Belize is nice, but I’m here in hell,
Someone save me, can’t you tell?
[Chorus]
🎶 My parents went to Belize,
Left me here with no keys,
Just a zoo of cats and dogs
And a fridge with moldy cheese.
I’m hungry—oh please—
Feed me, feed me, feed me, please! 🎶So if your parents book that trip,
Hide in their suitcase, don’t let them slip.
Or you’ll be here singing the blues,
With nothing but furballs and bad news.
Back-to-School Belize Blues”
It’s that time again—back to school.
Senior year.
Me, a darn fool.
Parents? Gone.
Jumped ship.
Belize. All-inclusive.
Meanwhile—me, back in fluorescent-lit classroom prison.
My iPhone?
Locked away in techno jail.
Parole granted after three days.
I walk home, holding my freed phone like it’s the last rose on Earth.
Oh no.
Grandparents.
In my living room.
Silent.
Staring.
I stare back.
We are locked in an unspoken Western standoff.
Then—
I wake up.
Not to peace.
But to a zoo.
Cats. Dogs. All looking at me.
I swear one is tapping its paw like, “Where’s the food, human?”
“Eat? Eat? Eat?”
That’s all my brain can chant.
I need to eat.
Please feed me.
Oh gosh, feed me!
But my parents…
Are in Belize.
And they left me here—
In this glorious, ridiculous, furry, hungry hell.
