There Lie Hopeless Souls

Beyond the gates where moonlight dies,

A kingdom sleeps beneath the stone,

The cries of ages haunt the wind,

A choir of the lost unknown.

Candles burn with ghostly flame,

Upon the halls of ancient dread,

The shadows wear forgotten faces,

Of warriors long among the dead.

Hear them calling from below,

From the crypts where darkness grows…

There lie hopeless souls!

Buried beneath the cursed earth!

Bound by sorrow, bound by pain,

Never to see the sun again!

Forever in the cold!

The vampire lord upon his throne,

Watches through eternity night,

His kingdom forged from grief and blood,

His crown adorned with fading light.

Hunters march with holy steel,

Their banners torn by wind and rain,

Yet every victory they claim,

Feeds the castle once again.

Thunder breaks the crimson sky,

Angels weep and demons rise,

The bell of doom begins to toll,

For every lost and wandering soul.
