My dearest Chloe,
I’ve been carrying this note in my head for weeks now, but words never felt quite enough – so I wrote us a song too.
Looking at that old photo from when we first met (you 14, me 12), I can barely believe how far we’ve come. We were just kids then, but even back then I knew you were someone special. Those early years of laughing in Stevenage, wandering through Biggleswade market, and growing up side by side – they led us to 5 years of dating, and then to June 30th 2021, when distance pulled us apart physically but never in heart.
I’ll never forget those late-night video calls, the parcels we’d send each other, and how we’d count down every single day ‘til we could hug again. We’ve been through so much together – hard times that tested us, and good times that made us stronger. You’ve been my rock, my best friend, and the person who knows me better than anyone else in the world.
