[INTRO — WHISPERED RITUAL]
Aperi librum...Verba vetita...Audi me...Veni, veni...
Mortui surgant.
NECRONOMICON.
[VERSE I]
I found a book beneath the boards, wrapped tightly in worn hide,No mark upon its weathered face, no clue from where it came,I touched the clasp; it opened first, before I stepped aside,And on the page a sentence waited, written in my hand.
I read the first few lines aloud,The room grew strangely still,The letters shifted underneath my eyes,As though they knew my will.
[PRE-CHORUS]
One page.One word.One turn.
Then everything became unfamiliar.
[CHORUS]
NECRONOMICON!Aperi librum! — I turn another page,NECRONOMICON!Audi me! — the letters leave their cage,NECRONOMICON!Veni, veni! — I hear a distant call,Mortui surgant! — and something moves behind the wall.
[GUITAR SOLO I Melodic opening → harmonized twin guitars → rapid lead run → descending dive → crushing full-band hit.]
[VERSE II]
The second page described a place no traveller had known,A buried hall beneath the earth, beyond a buried door,It told me what I dreamed before those dreams were ever shown,Then wrote the words I hadn't said across the page before.
I skipped ahead.
The pages turned.
I tried to close the book.
But every chapter drew me inEach time I tried to look.
[PRE-CHORUS II]
Then came a sentence I had never read:
“You opened what was never meant to close.”
I looked away.
The sentence changed:
“You opened what was waiting for you.”
[CHORUS]
NECRONOMICON!Aperi librum! — I turn another page,NECRONOMICON!Audi me! — the letters leave their cage,NECRONOMICON!Veni, veni! — I hear a distant call,Mortui surgant! — and something moves behind the wall.
[BRIDGE — RITUAL]
Aperi librum.Verba vetita.Audi me.Veni, veni.
Mortui surgant.
Aperi librum.Aperi...Aperi...
NECRONOMICON!
[BREAKDOWN]
I shut the cover.
IT OPENED.
I threw it down.
IT CAME BACK.
I buried it.
IT RETURNED.
I spoke no word.
AND STILL IT HEARD.
NECRONOMICON!
[GUITAR SOLO II Slow, sinister melody → harmonized guitars → escalating tremolo picking → wild dual-guitar section → abrupt silence.]
Whispered beneath the final notes:
Audi me...Audi me...Liber me legit...
NECRONOMICON!
[VERSE III]
I carried it outside and left it where the earth was dry,By morning it was waiting on the table by my bed,I locked the door and searched the room, then met its printed eye,The open book was showing me the thoughts inside my head.
No hand was turning any page.No voice was in the room.Yet every line became more clear:
The final chapter was my own.
[PRE-CHORUS III]
I tried to leave.
The door was gone.
I tried to speak.
The words were wrong.
Then every letter on the pageBegan to form a single song.
[FINAL CHORUS — MASSIVE]
NECRONOMICON!Aperi librum! — the final page is turning,NECRONOMICON!Audi me! — the words inside are burning,NECRONOMICON!Veni, veni! — I finally understand,Mortui surgant! — the book was never in my hands.
