October slips into
Rainy morning
A step away From Winter's mooring. Fallen leaves Comfort and climb
Achieved in wind's whine.
Hold on to this feeling
It may leave you reeling.
Years of Octobers Flicker and fade
No matter,
You'll know you have played.
Black patent leather,
poison ivy leaves,
Titania's spells
Memories swell.
Hoping on this,
I do not dwell.
New memories form
Can I make this the norm?
Perched on the precipice,
The Fool marches in.
Please don't let this light dim.
Mourning is done.
Please let me see the sun.
Forward, not backward
Take the leap
October is never cheap.
Clammoring for a shot
To make sure all does not become naught. Carried away
Beyond the veil,
Each year offering a new way to sail.
