Illuminated

When you are weary,

I will carry you upon my back, when you are sad,

I will wipe away your tears, when you are doubtful,

I will fill you with courage.

My wings will carry you until you can fly on your own,

then together we will dance in the sky forever.

We will run like wild horses through the sky,

together we are free and the warmth of the sun will guide us and keep us as one.

I will never let anyone take away your light.

As long as I have you,

I am illuminated because the day we met your light joined mine,

now I shine like the sun.

A prisoner of self-doubt no more,

for she has been fed the strength and taken the reign of queen.

With self-confidence,

she will keep anyone from moving her from the path that shall lead her to happiness.

Corners are filled with grey and black,

suspicion and doubt are now your shadows,

following you on your path.

You must keep your eyes open to see the good

but also to see and conquer the evil that waits to take you back to the darkness.

Like the Lily of the Valley beauty can be deadly,

the vision we allow others to see is not always the vision of truth. For a flowers petal can look so fragile and precious while stripping you of the breath of life.

From a broken soul to a warrior with love and goodness to power her on and forward.

The painful events shall leave deep scars

but these scars will heal quickly and disappear quietly.

Her journey out of the darkness and into the sunshine will continue.

Her life was stagnant, she was just treading water with no destination in mind, then the light appeared and her path was Illuminated.

The clouds parted and the beams came through, showing her the destination.
