There are stories written in ink, and there are stories written by God.
Ours was written long before we understood it.
For eighteen years, our lives wandered through different seasons, different roads, and different dreams. Yet Heaven never misplaced our names. God was simply preparing our hearts to recognize each other when the time was finally right.
Then one ordinary day became the beginning of forever.
You have always looked toward Heaven. Every sunrise reminds you of His promises. Every cloud is a brushstroke from His hand. While others see a beautiful sky, you see the fingerprints of the Creator, and through your faith, you gently help others see them too.
You carry little Pocket Jesus figures because you believe even the smallest reminder of His love can change someone’s life. That is who you are—always giving, always encouraging, always pointing people back to Him.
I’ve watched strangers leave your presence feeling seen. I’ve watched friends find hope because of your faith. I’ve watched our children learn what love looks like simply by watching their mother.
Kayla sees your strength. Gabi sees your kindness. Juju sees his safe place. Every day, I see the woman God spent eighteen years preparing me to love.
Time has only revealed your beauty more clearly. Your grace has grown deeper, your faith stronger, and your heart continues to make everyone around you feel loved.
People admire the photographs you take of the sun and clouds.
They’re right.
But they don’t know what I know.
The most beautiful thing God ever painted was never a sunset.
It was you.
You are my favorite answered prayer, my greatest blessing, and my daily reminder that God’s timing is never late—only perfect.
If I could live this life a thousand times, I would gladly wait those eighteen years again, because every second was worth the moment God placed your hand in mine.
If one day our children ask what true love looks like, I won’t answer with words.
I’ll simply point to you.
Because you have shown me that love is patient, love serves, love forgives, love believes, and love always points people toward Jesus.
That is why, through every sunrise, every cloud, every prayer, and every season, I still fall in love with you.
Again.
And again.
Until the day we watch our final sunset together and step into the eternal morning, where the Author of our story has been waiting all along.
