Imprisoned

My body may be imprisoned

My movements confined

They can’t have all of me

They cannot take my mind

Deep within I am free

They cannot see it

They just see I be

My thoughts are my salvation

My memories remind me who I am

They cannot touch my soul

I don’t give a damn

They exert their power

Try to control me by force

Little do they know

I have no remorse

For I follow my beliefs

What I know to be true

What is for me may not be for you

I would never force my ideals

That’s the difference of your religion and

My spiritual beliefs

I work through God directly

Not a hierarchy of self proclaimed chiefs

Ostracized for not joining the clan

Imprisoned for being a bad man

I’m looking in the eyes of the sinners

They think they are the winners

What I see they never will

Because I just watch, listen and sit still

Connected to the Universe and the Divine

They think it is their world

But I know the world is mine

My message from God is clear

I do not live in fear

No middleman to berate me

Not coercing anyone to hate me

No intimidation, nor control

Just me, God, my mind , heart and soul

A direct connection

A mirrored reflection

Of the Divine

Knowing I am a soulful being

God is within me

That is what they are not seeing

I do not need a church or a human to connect me to what I already see

I live in unison with the Divine Universe every day

Connected to everything and everyone

Through the vibrations we relay

Try to take away my voice

Punish me for my so called sin

You will never touch my Divinely gifted Power Within
