No light, no faith, no sleep…

I walk through fire with a blade in my chest,

Demons in the mirror say I’m better than the rest.

Midnight breath, I inhale death,

Heartbeat slow like a drugged-out tech.

I got wolves in the cut, no leash, no peace,

Shadows at my feet and they beg for a feast.

Pulse don’t race when the reaper speaks,

I been dead inside since at least thirteen.

I sleep with a mask and I dream of the snake.

Gold in my teeth but my soul’s all ache,

And I spit like war when the chain gang breaks.

Every word’s a wound, every beat’s a blade,

I don’t pray no more, just plot in the shade.

Heaven don’t want me, hell ain’t paid,

So I built my throne in the sound of the fade.
