Pop off the top now your heart dropped like a bag of alt rocks sitting in a soft spot head banging till the dogs bark then the clock strikes midnight your mid stride hoping to catch a free ride in a new city walking and seeing new vibes stumble on a group of of hip guys puffing upon some loud grass they say puffy puffy pass would you like to catch a flight now you’re high as a giraffe guess you should’ve went to class so you could learn about the pass too late interception slipping into deception not valuing your perception you’ve lost all sense of direction it’s a lesson now you’re heading to your hotel but you catch a rogue smell that’s got you like oh well it’s only 12:30 you land just like a birdie on a late night food truck and now your smashing on a burgy sip sip slurpy slurpy soda washing down your worries brain full of dopamine but now your in a hurry you belly starts to rumble you tumble through the concrete jungle and make to your hotel as you make the entrance you notice a hottie with a body you get up to your room and take care of the prolly rush back down to see if she’s still hanging in the lobby she’s gone but you see a jacket sitting in a chair you pick it up and a piece of paper falls out of the air it reads 8 a.m. coffee with Jan at hot brews on Clare ok you head up you set an alarm and drift off into sleep 7 a.m. wake up get dressed and brush your teeth arrive at the coffee shop and black and a bagel it’s 8:01 of course she’s late but she’s looking like an angel you approach and say good morning I think this is yours she laughs and smiles and says oh yes thank you that’s my favorite jacket you’re welcome ma’am are you from here I’m visiting some family yes born and raised how do you like the city you say it’s different but the sites are rather pretty she offers to show you round to her favorite spots later in the afternoon you exchange numbers wish her well and she says I’ll see you soon your city trip is going well could this be the one amazing how roaming free can lead to so much fun you meet at 5 to your surprise how can she be looking any better you dressed as well and came prepared with your lucky sweater you eat and dance laugh and smile romance is in the air you walk her home it’s time to part you both just standing there she steps in close you know she sign so you have a nice first kiss with charms like yours and looks like hers a chance that wouldn’t miss you say goodnight your off to catch your flight you hope to stay in touch a dream romance you didn’t expect may have just been launched
