She rolled into town in a hand-me-down Ford

Freckles like fire, boots hittin’ the floor

Smile like a preacher, eyes full of sin

Said, “Boy I’m an angel,” but the devil walked in

Cherry red hair in the Tennessee wind

Talked about forever like it wouldn’t end

Crossed her heart while crossin’ that line

Left me hangin’ on a barbed wire vine

She said, “Trust me baby, I ain’t like the rest”

But her fingers were crossed on her tattooed
