Gratitude

My first spark only you did know

But soon And deeeeeep inside

you watched me grow

With a selfless love for a time unknown

Scared….lost, and really confused

compassion would be shown

Only if you could see through my eyes

Dispel the attitude

You’d see a grateful child

Yes full of gratitude.

If you could see

the path I see

You’d see I see you walking with me

Despite the fear

Or the mood

These step are taken with a sincere heart

And full !!!!!! (yes full!!!!!!!)

Full of gratitude

My first steps

Observed with joyful fear

and every step since

you tried to hold me near.

Each step taken something new is awaken.

I step into the the teens

(A teen)

and then the shoes of being grown.

Walking the way I walk DOING the best unknown.

My first words

Jumbled they would be

Insensible to most

but you understood clearly

Each sentence uttered

each phrase spoken

You carefully heard

And I’m not simply

(just simply)

a token.

You hear my fears and observe my expressions

You take them to heart,

even if I speak

I speak

Speak with

with regressions.

My final breath will never cross your face

The path I have chosen could never be erased

Every inhale you hear
