Life show me pepper, tears in my eyes,

Smile for the people but deep down I cry.

Many said they love me, but they switched with time,

When darkness surrounded me, nobody stood by.

I trusted some faces, they turned into lies,

Promises broken, left scars in my mind.

I learned in this life, not everybody real,

Some only stay close just to know how you feel.

Oh life… why you testing me?

I’m fighting these battles nobody can see.

Broken but standing, I still believe,

Even in darkness, hope don’t leave me.

Too many fake smiles, too many fake souls,

Pain made me wiser, now my heart moves slow.

But I thank God daily, I still breathe, I still stand,

One day my story go shine across the land.

I walked through the storm with no hand to hold,

Dreams getting heavy, my nights feeling cold.

Friends turned strangers when the money ran dry,

But pain taught me lessons money can’t buy.

I know better days are coming for me,

Even when life feels like a deep blue sea.

I bend, I break, but I never fall,

Cause deep in my spirit, I still hear the call.

Oh life… why you testing me?
